9 Times Bollywood Movie Trailers Were All The Rage In 2017

Year 2017 has witnessed some amazing movie trailers, gone are the days when Bollywood movies were about a good man fighting with the 'gundas' and bringing justice. With the changing time our industry has witnessed the shift in the audience's taste and now makies with good scripts and strong acting speaks for them. Let's take a look at some of the Bollywood trailers in the recent past/future that bowled us over-


1- Newton
Rajkummar Rao starrer directed by Amit V Masurkar is a black comedy which shows Newton (Rao) a clerk on election duty in a conflict-ridden jungle of Chhattisgarh trying his best to conduct free and fair voting despite the security forces unconcern attitude, and the prolong fear of an attack by Maoist rebels. The trailer looks promising and as always Rao has given his best.

 

2- Chef
Chef starring Saif Ali Khan is an Indian adaptation of Jon Favreau's Hollywood movie of the same name. The trailer looks interesting and shows Saif in a never seen role. Saif is a chef who leaves his job to spend time with his son; this movie is about breaking free and living life on your terms.

3- Simran
Kangna is back in Hansal Mehta directorial Simran, and the trailer is intriguing to say the least. Starring in another women centric movie, Kangna's acting abilities can never be underestimated. Playing a Gujarati divorcee who wants to live lifer on her terms shows Kangana doing lot of adventures but there is one side which we cannot miss is the multiple personalities of her role.

4- Lucknow Central
Farhan Akhtar is back with a new movie! Lucknow Central tells the story of a small town man Kishan Mohan who is convicted of murder charges and tries to escape the jail by forming a band with four other prisoners.

5- Bareilly Ki Barfi
Starring Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkumar Rao as the main leads is the Barfi worth trying for. Set in the backdrop of small town Bareilly this romcom was much appreciated by the audience and it's oneliners were hilarious. Movie shows the journey of Bitti Mishra (Kriti) finding her love, Bitti falls in love with an author Pritam Vidrohi (Rajkumar). On her way of finding her love she takes help of local printing press owner Chirag Dubey (Ayushmann) .

6- Hindi Medium
The Irrfan Khan starrer movie is based on a couple's struggle to get their daughter admitted in an English medium school. Khan is back with another powerful and hard hitting script. The movie deals with the theory of our obsession with speaking fluent English and how that has taken such a toll that we consider speaking our native language as low class.

7- Toilet Ek Prem Katha
Addressing the old age tradition of open defecation in a light-hearted way, this Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer talks about the problems that are caused by this practice. The movie also touched base with pertinent issues of women safety and well-being.

8- Mom
Sridevi is back with a bang in a movie with quite the cast of refined actors of Bollywood like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna. This movie is a brutal yet true tale of the present Indian scenario where women's safety is one the major issue. Devika (Sridevi) stands to fight for her daughter Arya (Sajal Ali) whose rapists are acquitted by the court.

9- Lipstick Under My Burkha
Lipstick Under My Burkha's trailer was well received by the audience as this movie dares to talk about the women which are often neglected by the patriarchal society. With strong cast and new concept the trailer was surely worth the watch. Lipstick determines the desires of the women and the burkha represents the patriarchal society where the desires of women are overshadowed by the society.
