We have grown up grounded with rules that said you cannot wear black to weddings. But with such brilliant fashion breakthroughs, we are happy that it is no more the case. Black is one colour that is so versatile and chic, you will always make a glamorous statement with it. Here are some of our favorite picks from Sabyasachi Mukherjee's collection that are so surreal and sophisticated you can wear for any wedding ceremony!

1. Evoking a sense of mystery and glamour, this exquisite piece by Sabyasachi is meticulously hand embroidered with multi hued velvet applique. The glamorous skirt is complemented with an all dazzling shimmery blouse and Dupatta, making it the perfect outfit an evening wedding ceremony!

2. Don't want to be dressed too flashy but be an eye turner? Go for a fusion outfit! With the high neck cut, primitive gold embroidery and regal georgette drapes, this indo-western selection is a subtle solution to all family parties and wedding ceremonies!

3. Sarees are undoubtedly the favourite outfit for weddings! But to stand out, let go of the traditional reds and pick an unconventional black saree instead. Pair it with a lavish hand embroidered blouse that boasts an intricate floral pattern to add some vintage charm to your look!

4. The combination of gold and black is as majestic as it is timeless! Just like this black velvet jacket that is standing out for the whimsical hand embroidered florals. With its long sleeves and heavy fabric, the outfit becomes totally appropriate for a wedding!

5. A plain Anarkali suit worn with a traditional embellished Bandhani Dupatta adds a quaint touch to your look. Be it your Mehendi or Sangeet you will surely look like a diva from the old times!

6. If you wish to add a western touch to your look, go for an elegant floor length gown but stick to incorporating traditional embroideries. Here, the large effervescent floral motifs stand out on the deep black tone of the gown! To top that and add a twist to the look is a detailed, embellished belt that makes the outfit stand out from the rest.

7. Don't worry if you believe wearing an all black outfit to a wedding is too bold! All you need to do is invert the combination! Wear a vibrant hand printed Lehenga that sports some fun yet regal patterns and pair it with an all black blouse that incorporates royal embellishments at the neckline. Complete the look with a bordered tulle Dupatta that helps highlight the ensemble with some light but significant threadwork.
